 Parkinsonia aculeata, commonly known as Jerusalem Thorn or Horse Bean, is a highly drought-tolerant and resilient plant perfectly suited for the arid and semi-arid climates of the Middle East. It is a fast-growing, thorny shrub or small tree that can reach heights of up to 8 meters. Its feathery, bright green foliage provides a light, airy canopy, offering welcome shade without being too dense. The tree produces a spectacular display of fragrant, golden-yellow flowers, typically in spring and summer, which attract pollinators like bees. Its ability to thrive in poor, sandy soils and its deep root system make it an excellent choice for landscaping in dry regions.
